Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Valdis Dombrovskis is a leader with a wide experience in politics and economic issues. Being the youngest leader in Europe V. Dombrovskis leads the coalition government at the time of severe global economic recession. V. Dombrovskis was the chief economist at the Bank of Latvia, before becoming the Minister of Finance and the Member of the Parliament of Latvia from 2002 to 2004. After leaving the position of the Minister of Finance he was elected as the Member of the European Parliament (EP) in 2004 and the Head of Latvian Delegation in the Group of the European Peoples party (EPP).
